Lama’s Seat

Lama's Seat

It is the dim haze of mystery that adds enchantment to the pursuit.
–Antoine Rivarol

……we hiked up to a temple that looked abandoned. The ladder up to the door on the second floor was highly questionable. The floorboards were bent and warped. Sunlight filtered through the shutters and fell upon a small humble alter; ornate Buddha wall paintings blackened by generations of butterlamp smoke; and a small dusty lama’s seat and table of prayers. (Luckily the floors held long enough for me to get a few pictures!)
