Voting Day

Voting Day

The local paper covered the election activity all over the country on voting day. photos showed proud citizens waiting in line in their traditional garb; others walking for miles to barnyard voting booths; octogenarians with their thumbs painted (verification that they voted); politicians on cell phones acting like they were busy; the former PM getting frisked in his village before going to the polls (everyone had to go to their native village to vote); galloping horses, the symbol of the opposition; and this photo of an elder man who said he was too scared of the automated voting machines to do it himself, but he sent his 3 kids to the voting booths! well, i guess that counts for something…
